How we work

Food photographs badly the moment it stops being food. We shoot dishes as the kitchen sends them, fast, in the order the chef wants to cook them — not assembled from props and left under lights until they look like plastic.

That means working to the kitchen's rhythm rather than ours. Most menu shoots happen between services, and a good one gets through more dishes than anyone expects because nothing is being rebuilt between frames.

What we shoot

Individual dishes for a menu or a delivery platform, shot to a consistent angle and crop so the listing looks like one set rather than ten. Plus the wider frames a restaurant actually needs: the pass, the room, a table mid-meal.

If the photographs are for a specific platform, tell us which. Swiggy, Zomato and a printed menu want different crops, and shooting for all three at once is easier than recropping later.

Preparing for the shoot

Give us the shortlist of dishes in advance and we will plan an order that keeps the kitchen efficient. Hot dishes first, the ones that hold their look last.

A member of staff who can plate to the standard you want should be there. We can style, but we cannot plate your food better than your own kitchen.
