What we photograph here
Home functions, naming ceremonies, birthdays and family portrait sessions, with receptions usually at a hall rather than at the house.
Planning around the place
Access decides more here than light does. Vehicles often stop short of the door, so the kit is packed to be carried the last stretch, and we settle on positions before the ceremony rather than moving through a room that has no route through it. A terrace, where the house has one, solves the group portrait.
