Photographing in Kommadi

Part of the city's newer northern growth, so the apartments and function halls here are recent. Newer halls mean wider spans, better ceiling height and parking that actually holds the guest list - and lighting designed for brightness rather than warmth, which is the trade that comes with all of it.

What we photograph here

Weddings, receptions, naming ceremonies and first birthdays, with outdoor options that are a genuine choice here rather than a fallback for when the hall is too small.

Planning around the place

The room to stand back is the real advantage: a large group portrait is straightforward in these halls in a way it is not in the older parts of the city. We still light the hall ourselves, because bright is not the same as flattering, and a hall lit from directly overhead puts shadows under every eye in the row.
