Planning around the place
Space is the real constraint, not light. We work a shorter lens than usual indoors and plan the group portrait for a terrace or the street-facing side of the house, where there is enough distance to fit everyone without lining them up three deep. Load-in is best done in one trip, since there is rarely anywhere to leave a second load.
